Tooltips in Stratex provide context-sensitive help by displaying helpful information when users click specific elements, such as buttons. By creating and assigning tooltips, you can improve user experience by guiding them through complex actions or providing quick explanations for interface elements.
Key Concepts
Tooltip: A small pop-up window that appears when a user hovers over a button, icon, or another clickable element. It provides brief, contextual information about the element.
Heading: The title of the tooltip, should be concise and descriptive of the element it refers to.
Content Section: The body of the tooltip, where more detailed information or instructions can be added to assist the user.
Instructions
Navigate to Administration > Configuration > Screen Customization > Tooltips.
Click the Add Button to start creating a new user guide.
Select the Button to start creating a tooltip for.
In the Heading field, enter a clear and concise title for the user guide. This title will help users identify the guide’s purpose.
In the Content Section, provide instructions, descriptions, and any other helpful information for users.
Click Save.
Navigate to the button you selected in Step 3 and click on the Question Mark icon to see the tooltip in action.
