The collaboration function in Stratex authorizes nominated collaborators to edit an initiative alongside the responsible person. This will enhance some initiatives with the ability to utilize various areas of expertise and leadership levels.
Key Concepts
In essence, the collaboration function can facilitate a more well-rounded initiative and increase the chance of making it through the various workflow approval phases. Some concepts to consider:
The collaboration function in Stratex is beneficial as team projects and proposals can be worked on and put forward with input from all relevant personnel simultaneously.
It is important to note that only one person can work on an initiative at any given time (as there are data locks), however the most recently saved version can always be viewed by authorized personnel.
As an initiative is sent through the workflow process, it will be removed from collaborators' worklist but can still be accessed and edited from ‘all initiatives’.
Instructions
To invite/integrate collaborators:
In the Area/People tab, the responsible person can add the desirable number of users to the list using the ‘add collaborator’ button.
The collaborator can either access the link via email or check their worklist/all initiatives in Stratex.
When collaborators/responsible person make edits and save the initiative, the option to write a comment will be given and this will be seen by the next user, and in the audit log.
NOTE: At any given time only one person (responsible person or collaborators) can be working on the initiative as data locks will be on for other users.
All invited collaborators can have an automated email sent to them using the ‘invite user via email’ button (The email message can be configured by an admin).
If enabled by your Administrator, you will be able add new users as required via lookup from Active Directory. Click Add Active Directory User, start typing their name to find the new user and then click Add. Once successfully added, you’ll be able to include the new user as a collaborator or endorser.
