Complete an initiative when done. This will transition the initiative to the Active phase after approval by the Area Manager (Manager Completion Review status) and Sponsor (Sponsor Completion Review status). The Administrator can assign a Fixed Asset ID once completion is approved by the Area Manager and Sponsor.

Key Concepts

  • Completion is initiated by the Person Responsible, or Administrator, and is required to be approved by the Area Manager and Sponsor.

  • An individual asset ID, or list of asset ID’s, can be assigned to an initiative once Completion Requested status is reached.

  • Prior to completing an initiative, the financial analysis can be updated to provide the sponsor with the best estimate of the likely impact of the project on future operations.

  • On transition to active, the Responsible Person may be reassigned. It is their responsibility to ensure that the anticipated benefits of the project are delivered.

Instructions

  1. From the Summary Screen of an initiative in the Project stage, select the Complete action to initiate the completion workflow.

  2. Have the Area Manager and Sponsor review the project progress, and provide their approval.

  3. If Portfolio Manager has been enabled by admins, their approval is required.

  4. Have the admin assign an asset ID for the project to complete the project.

Attach an Asset Details worksheet to facilitate set-up of the Asset Id in the Fixed Asset accounting system.

The asset ID of a completed Project can be updated at the Active Stage via the ‘Update Capex Details’ button.
